Financial Inclusion

 

Financial inclusion broadly defined, is the delivery of appropriate financial services at affordable costs to the disadvantaged and low-income segments of society.

It means that individuals and businesses have access to useful and affordable financial products and services that meet their needs. These needs comprise mainly; transactions, payments, savings, credit and insurance. In an inclusive financial system, financial services are delivered in a responsible and sustainable way.

EBA is working in conjunction with the Central Bank of Eswatini to deliver financial Inclusion as enshrined in the Financial Inclusion Strategy Document. EBA Member banks focus areas for financial inclusion are summarized in the diagram
